Westford Recreation oversees two public beaches:
Forge Pond Beach and Edwards Beach.
2026 BEACH SEASON FEES
Westford residents are allowed free entrance. A Proof of Residency is required.
2026 Beach Season: June 29 through August 21,
Monday-Sunday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Non-residents Daily Rate: $15 per person, per day.
Ages three and under, 65 and over are free.
Non-residents Season Pass: $100 for a family of five.
Pricing for non-residents is subject to change.

Please print your emailed receipt and present at the beach to receive your season pass.
Snack Shacks and Beach Bathrooms are available at Forge Pond Beach and Edwards Beach during the summer season only, from June 29 through August 21, 2026. Non-resident Beach passes must be shown for admission to beaches.
*In case of severe weather the beaches will be closed*
Directions
Forge Pond Beach: located near Forge Village center, can be reached by the access road that runs between Bradford Street and the Stony Brook and the railroad tracks, both off of Rt. 225 (Pleasant Street). If driving on 225 west towards Forge Village center, the access road is on the left, just moments after the Cameron Senior Center.
Edwards Beach: located at Nabnasset Lake, at the end of Williams Avenue off of Plain Road.
Westford Town Beaches Rules and Regulations
*No littering or solicitations *No fires, grilling, glass containers, alcohol or drugs permitted on beaches or parking lot *No PETS ALLOWED anytime *Swimming is allowed in designated areas only *No Smoking – beaches are smoke free recreation areas *Throwing harmful objects, such as rocks is prohibited *Bicycles are not allowed on the beach or in the playground area *No head-first diving allowed *No disturbances or breach of peace will be tolerated *Absolutely no person shall use obscenities, threats, or any other offensive language. Failure to comply with beach staff may result in loss of beach privileges.
Please bring your beach pass with you as you will need it to check in.
Open Swim Policy
Lifeguards are only on duty for Recreation swim lessons, Summer Weekly Programs, and other Recreation sponsored programs. Report any dangerous conditions to the Recreation concession stands or call (978) 692-5532.
Only coast guard approved flotation devices in good and serviceable condition may be used at Westford Town Beaches. PFD must be appropriate size for intended user. No lifeguards will be on duty.

PLEASE NOTE: Edwards Beach will close when Nabnasset Lake is being treated for the growth of nuisance algae. We will update this page when dates become available.
