Pickleball is a blend of badminton, ping-pong, and tennis. It's played on a court measuring 20x44, split by a tennis style net. Players use a paddle and whiffle-like ball (plastic ball with holes). You can play singles or doubles, and the game is easy to learn!
It's a game for everyone no matter your age or physical ability!
Join Coach Donald Van Dyne, certified pickleball instructor, at Greystone Field this spring and summer for one of his beginner or intermediate clinics!
- Each clinic will have a maximum of 4 students.
BEGINNER PROGRAM is for individuals who have never picked up a pickleball paddle or who have limited playing time.
ADV. BEGINNER/LOW INTERMEDIATE PROGRAM is for a player that is a 3.0 or greater, but not yet a 4.0. If you have never taken a lesson, need a tune up or have questions regarding court awareness, stroke development, or shot selection this program is designed for you.
INTERMEDIATE PROGRAM is for players that have successfully completed and drilled the ADV BEG/LOW INT class or are a 3.5 or better. The program focuses on a player’s tactical skills and strategies at the NVZ and in the transition area. Discussions and exercises on more advanced shots and strategies are reviewed. ATP’s, Erne’s, offensive lobs, and use of spin are examined. Players will begin to recognize patterns and identify a player’s strengths and weaknesses. This clinic prepares you for the mental and physical pleasures of higher-level pickleball play.
Tuesdays are Evening Classes and Thursdays are Morning Classes
