For grades K-8

Westford Recreation provides support for parents and children with full-day and full-week special programs during Westford Public School’s parent conferences, professional development days, and December, February and April school vacations. Special program events are educational, inspiring, and fun, and include a variety of locations and activities from Maple Sugaring at Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, to visiting Harvard's Museum of Natural History and the APEX Entertainment Center in Marlborough.

Enrollment is open to children, grades K-8. Children from Westford's surrounding communities are welcome to join in!  Details, including fees, can be found online three weeks prior to the event date. Scroll down to register.

Monday December 29, 2025 Pj's, Pancakes & Outdoor Playtime
  • On Monday December 29, 2025 Westford Recreation will be offering a recreation special program.
  • DROP/PICK UP: Westford Recreation Department , 65 Main Street 3rd Floor of the Roudenbush Building.
  • REQUIRES 10 STUDENTS MINIMUM TO RUN PROGRAM!
  • The kids will have a busy day with outdoor play, lego builing, arts and crafts, a winter movie (G or PG), Pancake lunch, hot cocoa after playing outdoors and MORE!
  • WHAT TO BRING:
  • Lunch if your child does not eat pancakes
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Snacks-yes your kiddos will require lots of snacks as we will try our best to tire them out with lots of outdoor playtime/hiking in the nearby trails!
  • Blanket or favorite stuffy to sit with for a movie.
  • Pack Winter Attire for outdoor play, including hats, winter jackets and gloves. Snow boots and snow pants a must if there is snow on the ground. Extra socks/dry pair of shoes for indoor time. If you think they may require an additional change of clothes
  • The kids can bring a sled from home, we have plenty here for them to use.

  • On Tuesday December 30, 2025 Westford Recreation will be offering a recreation special program.
  • DROP/PICK UP: Westford Recreation Department , 65 Main Street 3rd Floor of the Roudenbush Building.
  • REQUIRES 10 STUDENTS MINIMUM TO RUN PROGRAM!
  • The kids will have a busy day with sled races if snow, relay races, foosball (table soccer) tournament, Uno, and additional board/card games, lego builing, arts and crafts, COOKIE DOCORATING, hot cocoa after playing outdoors and MORE!
  • WHAT TO BRING:
  • Lunch
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Snacks-yes your kiddos will require lots of snacks as we will try our best to tire them out with lots of outdoor playtime/hiking in the nearby trails!

Wednesday December 31, 2025 - End of the Year PARTY!
  • On Wednesday December 31, 2025 Westford Recreation will be offering a recreation special program.
  • DROP/PICK UP: Westford Recreation Department , 65 Main Street 3rd Floor of the Roudenbush Building.
  • NO EXTENDED DAY option: Program ends at 2:00pm
  • REQUIRE 10 STUDENTS MINIMUM TO RUN PROGRAM!
  • The kids will build with Legos, make some new year's themed arts and crafts, get some outdoor play, play the Wii and Pizza Lunch included!
  • WHAT TO BRING:
  • snacks
  • lunch (if your child doesn't like pizza)
  • refillable water bottle.
  • Proper WINTER attire for outdoor play, including hats, winter jackets and gloves. Snow boots and snow pants a must if there is snow on the ground. We don't want anyone missing out on playing in the snow.
