Bollywood dance has its roots in Indian cinema, particularly in the Bollywood film industry. This dance form fuses Indian classical, folk, contemporary, and Western dance styles, and is characterized by energetic movements and vibrant costumes.
Bollywood dance features hip and pelvic movements, fast footwork, and hand gestures, while incorporating theatrical elements, such as dramatic facial expressions and storytelling through dance. The music used in this form is typically upbeat and lively, with a mix of traditional Indian instruments and Western beats.

Kids-Bollywood Dance with Rachana:
Introduce your child to the world of Indian dance! These 50-minute Bollywood Dance Classes are designed especially for youth, ages 5 to 12 years old. Each class introduces a new song and new techniques, and includes a warm up, simple dance steps, concepts of expressions, rhythm, beats, and the creation of mood through popular Bollywood songs. Children will participate in a number of upcoming events to gain the valuable experience of performance.
About Instructor Rachana Agrawal:
I have a deep love for Bollywood dance. I am currently training for Kathak and have performed at various cultural events. I love teaching and through the series of BollyX classes you will be able to learn the technicalities and steps of Bollywood Dance. There are several cultural events coming up this Winter/Spring/Summer where I would like our group to perform Adults and Kids.
